WATERBURY - Elizabeth “Bette” C. Miller, age 96, of Waterbury passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 11th 2023 at Abbott Terrace Health Care Center in Waterbury after an extended illness. She was the widow of Walter Miller.
Elizabeth was born on July 18th, 1927, in Waterbury, CT, the daughter of the late James and Marguerite (Oates) Carroll. She was a graduate of local schools and went on to raise a beautiful family with her husband Walter to whom she was married for 66 wonderful years. Elizabeth enjoyed baking, sewing and animals and was a devout Christian and longtime member of SS Peter and Paul Church. She was exceptional in almost every way but she excelled the most at being a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Our family thanks you Mom, for every prayer you uttered for us, for the many sacrifices you made for us, for thousands of hugs you shared with us and the unending love you instilled in all of us.
Left to honor her legacy and cherish her memory are her children; Steven Miller and his wife Janice of Goshen; daughters, Diane Giuditta and her husband Joel of Middlebury and daughter Barbara Albert and her husband Robert of Waterbury. She also leaves her 6 adoring grandchildren; Kim (Chris) LoPresti, Andrew (Karen) Dunn, Daniel (Sruthi Kainady) Giuditta, Rebecca (Phil) Lichtenwainer, Benjamin (Katherine) Albert, and Julie (Jake) Rowland. 11 great grandchildren, her sister Helen Phillips, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Elizabeth’s family would like to thank the entire staff of Abbott Terrace Health Care for the wonderful care they provided to Elizabeth during her time there.
Funeral services Mrs. Miller will be held on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. when a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Mary Mother of the Church Parish, SS Peter & Paul Church 67 Southmayd Rd Waterbury at 11:00 a.m. Those planning to attend are kindly asked to meet directly at the church. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Waterbury.
