We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Elizabeth Quintiliano, better known as Betsy to all who knew and loved her. She was the strongest woman anyone could know, was extremely strong willed and stubborn at times but had an enormous heart and a wonderful sense of humor. She was generous and loyal to a fault. She always thought of others before herself.
She will be remembered for that heart, that she shared so readily with family, friends and even strangers. She truly loved each of them- if you knew her, you just knew.
Betsy was born in Fairfield, CT June 5, 1951. She had been a resident of Southbury, CT for over 30 years and leaves behind her husband, Paul Quintiliano, daughter, Chrystie Stotz (Joe) and three grandchildren Talon, Salem and Riott. She leaves countless cousins, nieces and nephews and many, many friends. She loved vintage and depression glass and opened her own eBay store to collect and sell the beautiful pieces she was able to collect. She loved all things nature; flowers, the forest, bugs, storms, animals, and the ocean. Talking to her about her life experiences, there didn’t seem to be much she hadn’t gone out and done and it was capable of creating such inspiration. She will be dearly missed.
In typical Betsy fashion, there are no services planned, certainly no pomp and circumstance.
“Seeing death as the end of life is like seeing the horizon as the end of the ocean."
