ROXBURY - Mrs. Elody G. Paris age 74, of Roxbury, died peacefully at Saint Mary's Hospital surrounded by her family and entered into the hand of God on Wednesday, November 13th 2013. She was the wife of Peter Paris.
Mrs. Paris was born July 1st 1939, the daughter of the late Raymond and Evelyn (Tilley) Burdick in New Haven where she grew up and attended local New Haven schools. She earned her CNA and worked as a health care aide for many years. She lived to serve anyone in need and her services were always in high demand due to her caring nature and understanding of those she worked with. Elody loved rural New England and enjoyed spending times outdoors especially while gardening, and farming.
Besides her husband Peter of 55 years, Elody is survived by her two children, Steven Kostas and his wife Sherri of Quechee, VT; Stephanie Butler and her husband Robert of Kilauea, HI; her brother, Vincent Peters and her sister Carol Smith as well as her grandchildren, Portia Bertelson, Bobby Butler, Seth Aukai Butler, and Zachary & Christopher Kostas; in addition to her two great grandchildren Gwinna Beth, and Matthew Isaiah Bertelson.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Paris will be held privately at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours.
