THE CASEY FAMILY IS HONORED TO BE ASSISTING AND CARING FOR THE FAMILY OF EMILY PARKER

WATERTOWN - Emily F. "Charlotte" Parker age 98, of Watertown, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 1st 2018 at the Apple Rehabilitation Center in Watertown surrounded by her loving family after a brief illness. She was the widow of Joseph Parker.

Mrs. Parker was born in Brooklyn, NY on November 30, 1919, the daughter of the late Joseph and Daisy Mae (Kirk) Simmons. Emily was widowed at a young age and dedicated herself to raising her family and then later returned to work as a cashier at Everybody's Market and later as a cook and assistant at Brookwood Manor Rest Home in Watertown. Emily will be remembered for her compassionate, loving, and spitfire style personality and especially for her cooking. She was always an outstanding role model to her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren and was always happiest while spending time with them.

Among her survivors are her daughter, Susan Dillane of Terryville, her son in law, Patsy Paternostro of Watertown, and her grandchildren; Jimmy and his wife Shannon, Sandra and her husband, Brian, Patrick, Linda, Debbie and her husband, Steve, and William. She also leaves her great grandchildren; Brandon, Ryan, Jason, Daniela, David, and Matthew as well as other extended family members and many friends. Besides her husband, she is predeceased by her three children; William Parker, Ronald Parker, and Katherine Paternostro as well as her four brothers and her sister.

Funeral services for Mrs. Parker will be held on Wednesday September 5, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at O'Neill Funeral Home 742 Main St Oakville, CT 06779. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery Watertown. Friends and relatives may visit with Emily's family on Tuesday evening at the funeral home form 5:00~7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, to honor Emily's memory, donations may be made to the Harold Leever Cancer Center at 1075 Chase Parkway Waterbury, Ct 06708.
