OAKVILLE - Emma Guilbeault age 98, passed away gently and peacefully on Friday, February 9, 2018 at Ingraham Manor Nursing Home, Bristol CT, after an extended illness.
Emma, the beloved wife of the late Leo Guilbeault, was born March 07, 1919 in Waterbury, CT, the daughter of the late Napoleon LaBranche and Mary Bebault. Emma was a proud resident of Oakville for most of her life. Emma possessed a natural warmth and kindness that immediately put people at ease. Her family will always remember her as a model of devotion, perseverance, faith, love and patience as she raised her family. She was the source of unwavering support to her children throughout her life. Emma's greatest joy was spending time with her family.
Among her survivors are her daughter, Beatrice Guilbeault, her daughter, Karen Smith and her husband, Richard Smith, her sister in law, Marge LaBranche, 14 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, Emma was predeceased by all of her brothers and sisters, her daughter, Charlotte D'Agostino and Charlotte's husband, Anthony D'Agostino, her five sons: Virgil Cameron, Louis Cameron, Edward Cameron, Robert Cameron and Mark Guilbeault.
The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the staff of Ingraham Manor Nursing Home for the comfort, care and love they shared with Emma and her family, during the past several years.
Funeral services for Mrs. Guilbeault will be held on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at 10:00 am when a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary Magdalen Church, Buckingham Street Oakville. Burial will follow in Mt Olivet Cemetery, Watertown. Relatives and friends may visit with Emma's family on Tuesday morning from 9:00am until departure for services at the O'Neill Funeral Home, 742 Main St Oakville CT.
