INDIANAPOLIS IN - Eric Dwayne Nixon, age 56 of Indianapolis formerly of Waterbury, CT always his hometown, passed unexpectedly at his home on February 12, 2022.
Eric was born May 28, 1965 in Waterbury CT. He was a sous-chef who enjoyed cooking and spent Sunday's watching football, Go Eagles! Eric loved playing Jeopardy as he just knew he was the smartest man in the room. Eric was also brilliant in the stock exchange. He motivated others to save and be the best they could be. He was a Boss.
Eric is survived by his siblings; Donell Nixon of Waterbury, Anthony (Karen) Nixon of North Carolina, David Nixon of Atlanta Georgia. Nadine Nixon - Lusk of Indianapolis, Alicia Nixon - Watts of Waterbury, Brother In Law Dixon Hall of Waterbury sister in law Vera Nixon of Waterbury.. God Daughter Naomi Brown & Best friend Marci Thrall. Host's of nieces and nephews that he loved dearly. He was predeceased by his parents, Edward Nixon Jr & Hattie C Nixon of Waterbury, also siblings, Larry Nixon, Christine Nixon -Hall, Timothy Nixon, Jeffery Lusk & nephew, Gary J Nixon.
Homegoing services for Eric will be held on Sunday, February 27, 2022 from 12 noon till 2:00 p.m. at Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1987 East Main St. @ Southmayd Rd Waterbury CT. Burial will be held at the convenience of his family. We remain very concerned about the ongoing pandemic so facemasks will be required at all indoor services, regardless of vaccination status.
