WATERBURY - Erika Chasse age 58 of Waterbury, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 27, 2016 at Waterbury Hospital after a brief illness. She is the widow of the late Linda Chasse.
Erika was born on September 18, 1958 in Germany, the daughter of Trudy Smeeth of Slidell LA. Erika was employed for many years as a Production Planner in the Manufacturing Industry.
Besides her mother, Erika is survived by her brother, Neil Whitney and his wife, Dawn and their children, Hunter and Savannah Whitney of LA, and Jordan Savoy of Torrington and her sister, Barbara Soto and her husband, Ed and their children, Liza, Tony and Vito Schiavo of Waterbury, brothers-in-law, Richard and James Chasse, a great nephew, Dempsey Joseph Duprey and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
A Memorial Gathering for Erika will be held on Friday, December 2, 2106 from 5:00 until 7:00 pm at O'Neill Funeral Home, 742 Main St Oakville CT. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. To honor Erika's memory, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1075 Chase Parkway, Waterbury CT 06708.
