Waterbury Mr. Ernest "Ernie" C. Descault - age 68 of Plymouth, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 16, 2012 at the Vitas Innovative Care Unit at St. Mary's Hospital, surrounded by his loving family after an extended illness. He was the husband of Theresa (Fortier) Descault.
Ernie was born December 25, 1943 in Hartford, CT the son of the late Ernest C. Descault Sr. and Bertha G. (Fontenault) Covey. He was raised and educated in the Hartford area and was the owner and operator of DNS Fencing prior to his retirement. Ernie was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed watching western movies and television series as well as listening to country music. He was always happiest while he was spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren. He was a parishioner of Saint Thomas Church. Thomaston.
Besides his wife Theresa of 48 years, Ernie leaves his two sons, John and his wife Sandra of Spring Hill; FL, Jeff Descault of Plymouth, his daughter Debra Hudobenko and her husband Matthew of Prospect, his brother Robert Descault of Waterbury, and his sister Nancy Alvater of Patterson, NJ; as well as his grandchildren, Eric, Thomas, Brandon, James, Makayla Rose, and Tammy Lynn and his great grandson Dylan.
Funeral Services for Mr. Descault will be held on Wednesday, November 21st 2012 at 10:00a.m. at Saint Thomas Church, 1 East Main St. Thomaston to Celebrate the Liturgy of Christian Burial. Those planning on attending are asked to meet directly at the church. Rites of Committal and Interment will follow in Hillside Cemetery in Terryville. Family and friends may visit at the Casey-O'Donnell Family Funeral Home, 1581 East Main St Waterbury on Tuesday evening from 4:00 till 7:00pm.
