WATERBURY - Mr. Ernest P Galli, age 58 of Waterbury passed away peacefully surrounded by the love and comfort of his family on Tuesday November 1, 2016 at Waterbury Hospital.
Mr. Galli was born on February 26, 1958 in Waterbury the son of Raymond Galli and the late Angelina (Richard) Galli. He attended Jack & Jill Nursery School, graduated from Duggan Special Education School. Ernest worked at WARC and CW. He participated in the Special Olympics for many years and was very proud of his many medals and ribbons. He enjoyed dancing and being with his many friends at parties. Ernest was honored by the Waterbury Sportsmans Club in April 22, 2012 and was presented his honor by US Senator Richard Blumenthal. Ernest will be sadly missed by his loving family and all who knew and loved him.
Besides his father of Waterbury, Ernest leaves his brother, Raymond Galli II and his wife, Lisa of Milford, his sister, Stephanie Bonicki and her husband Leo of Waterbury, nephew Kyle and niece Lindsey. He also leaves his nephew Raymond Galli III and his wife, Samantha of Branford, niece Olivia and nephew Maxwell. He leaves his favorite Aunt Diane Richard and many other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends. Mr. Galli's family would like to thank and acknowledge the staff at Oak Hill Group Home, Birchfield Dr. Waterbury for the care and love they shared with Ernest during his stay there.
Funeral services for Mr. Galli will be held on Thursday, November 3, 2016 at 10:00 am at Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home 1987 East Main St Waterbury. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Waterbury. Relatives and friends may visit with Ernest's family on Thursday morning from 9:00 a.m. till 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
