THE CASEY FAMILY IS HONORED TOBE CARING FOR AND ASSISTING THE FAMILY OF FAITH DAVELUY

"Loved the outdoors and Maine"

OAKVILLE- Faith (Verseckas) Daveluy, 77, of Watertown died peacefully at Waterbury hospital on May 29, 2021. She was the wife of the late Robert Daveluy.
Born in Waterbury on November 14, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Albert J. and Vivian (Reed) Verseckas. She was one of the first women in Connecticut to have received her tractor trailer trucking license and she traveled to every state in the continental United States with her late husband, Robert Daveluy. Faith was an avid hiker, birdwatcher, snowmobiler, boater, fisher and ocean kayaker. She enjoyed camping and fishing with her two boys. She and her husband made Gorham Maine their home base for a number of years as they drove their truck. Faith enjoyed gospel and country music probably from all those nights on road in the rural heart of America. Her favorites were Willie Nelson and the Bill Gaithers. Snowmobiling in the dead of winter in Yellowstone to see the buffalo herds, camping at Rangley Lake before ice out, climbing Mt Washington three times, fishing Western rivers and boating off the Florida Keys were all a part of who she was. Faith was an animal lover and had a variety of much-loved dogs and cats especially Hope and Luna. Some even traveled with her on the road. There is no doubt that she and her husband are together with their pets on God's highway, trucking with a heavy load and are singing along with Willie "on the road again".
Left to remember, cherish and honor Faith's love and memories are, her
her two sons Robert and his wife Donna Daveluy, Michael Daveluy, two grandchildren Peter and Michele, her two ever present sisters Carol and Sue and her brother Albert.
You may be aware that Donkey's were her favorite animals and she would like Memorial Donations made to Peaceful Valley Donkey Rescue by visiting www.donkeyrescue.org .
According to her wishes, there are no funeral services and her remains will be privately scattered in her beloved state of Maine. The O'Neill Funeral Home is honored to serve the Daveluy Family.
