WATERBURY- Mr. Felix Vargas age 59 of Waterbury, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, July 29, 2022, at St Vincent’s Hospital in Bridgeport. He was the husband of Carmen (Negron-Robles) Vargas.
Felix was born on September 2nd 1962 in Penuelas, Puerto Rico, the son of Elba (Torres) Vargas and the late Felix Vargas. He was raised in Puerto Rico and moved to Connecticut in his early 20’s. He spent many years working as a roofer, most recently with Silktown Roofing in New Haven and he was a member of the local roofers #12 union. Felix was a jeep enthusiast and loved spending time riding around in his jeep and customizing it. Felix was extremely proud of his Puerto Rican heritage and always looked forward to participating in Puerto Rican day parades. Felix was always happiest while spending time with his beloved family and will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know and love him.
Left to honor his legacy and cherish his memories besides his wife, Carmen, are his son, Felix Vargas of Waterbury, his daughters; Maria, Nancy, Daisy, and Stephanie Vargas all of Waterbury as well as his stepchildren Suleika Montanez, Milady Montanez, Berto Montanez, and Jonathan Montanez,. He also leaves many grandchildren, brothers, and his only sister, Maribel Vargas as well as his, nieces and nephews including Maribel Ferrer, whom he had a special bond with.
Funeral services for Mr. Vargas will be held on Friday August 5, 2022 at 1:00pm at Casey’s Eastside Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Care 1987 East Main St @ Southmayd Rd Waterbury. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery Waterbury. Relatives and friends may visit with Felix’s family on Friday morning from 11:00a.m, until the time of the service at 1:00pm.
