 WATERBURY- It is with great sadness and broken hearts that the family of Florence Theresa Smith, age 83, of Waterbury, announce her peaceful passing on June 26, 2024 at the Hebrew Center in West Hartford. She was the widow of Edward Smith Sr.

Florence was born November 4th, 1940 in Waterbury, the daughter of the late William F. Lee Sr. and Florence (Sullivan) Smith. Florence enjoyed playing bingo, playing various board games but she especially enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her children, grandchildren and her great grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know and love her.  

Left to honor and cherish Florence’s memories are her son; Edward Smith Jr., her grandchildren; Berroa-Smith and Ariel Smith Jr. and her three great-grandchildren; Jada Smith, Nvae Smith and Trinity Smith. Florence was predeceased by her son, Richard Smith, her two sisters; Marlene Stack and Margaret Peggy Coumo, her three brothers; Joseph Lee, William Lee and Willard Lee and her grandson, Damian Smith.  

Graveside committal services for Mrs. Smith will be held on July 22nd, 2024, at 10:30 a.m.at Calvary Cemetery 2324 East Main St, Waterbury, CT 06705.
