Waterbury - Frances B. McLaughlin, age 90 of Waterbury, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family.
Frances was born September 5, 1928 in Waterbury, CT, the daughter of the late Emile and Lena (Hebert) Brodeur. She was raised in the Hopeville section of Waterbury and attended St. Anne's School and Waterbury Catholic High School. Frances was dedicated to being a nurturing mother and military wife as the family traveled throughout the United States and overseas.
Frances worked for several area companies including Haydon Switch and AIRPAX, but the job she most enjoyed was as a cafeteria monitor at Regan Elementary School.
Frances is survived by her son, Robert McLaughlin and his wife Theresa (Bastin) McLaughlin of Massachusetts and her daughter, Barbara McLaughlin Hagen and her husband Dr. Karl Hagen of Florida. She also leaves behind three loving grandsons, Kyle McLaughlin, Eric Hagen, and Christopher Hagen; a sister, Jeannette Hamel of Litchfield; and a nephew, Raymond Frageau and his wife Dr. Patricia (Boland) Frageau.
A celebration of Frances's life will be held on Thursday April 18, 2019 at 6:30 p.m. at Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home, 1987 East Main Street, Waterbury CT 06705. Relatives and friends may visit with Frances's family from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Burial will be held privately at the family's convenience in Mount Olivet Cemetery in Watertown.
