THE CASEY FAMILY IS HONORED TO BE CARING AND ASSISTING THE FAMILY OF FRANCES (SPINA) OVERBAUGH.
WATERTOWN - Frances (Spina) Overbaugh, age 91 of Watertown and Morris, passed away peacefully on Wednesday May 15, 2019 at the Apple Rehabilitation Center in Watertown after a brief illness. She was the widow of Walter and Shelton Overbaugh. .
Frances was born December 16, 1927 in Waterbury the daughter of the late Frank and Mildred (Rivard) Spina. She was educated in local schools and graduated from Wilby High School. Frances was the friendliest of waitress at Friendly's in Watertown for many years. She and her husband loved spending summers camping in Lone Oak Campground in Canaan CT. What matter most to her was her family and enjoyed the many family picnics and being in the midst of her sons, their families and especially her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know and love her. .
Frances leaves her three sons, James and his companion Pam of FL, David and his wife Margaret of SC and William and his wife Suzanne of Lakeside CT, her grandchildren David Overbaugh Jr, Jeffrey Overbaugh, Leah Overbaugh, Chad Overbaugh, Kaleen Banulski and Bridget Overbaugh and her great grandchildren: Tyler, Matthew, Joey, Ryan, Ella, Avery, Camden, Kurt and Kayden. She was predeceased by her son Mark Overbaugh, her granddaughter, Christine Donorfio and brothers, John Spina and Robert Spina.
The family wished to acknowledge and thank the entire staff at Apple Health and Rehab for the care and compassion they shared with Frances and her entire family during her stay there.
Funeral services for Mrs. Overbaugh will be held on Monday May 20, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. when a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St John the Evangelist Church 574 Main St Watertown CT. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
