Francis "Frank" J Linden

March 23, 1946 — December 18, 2015

WATERBURY - Francis J. "Frank" Linden Jr. age 69 of Waterbury, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love and comfort of his family on December 18th 2015 at Meridian Manor Health Care Center of Waterbury after an extended illness. He was the husband of Christine (Horgan) Linden.

Frank was born March 23,1946 in Waterbury, CT, the son of the late Francis J. and Kathleen Elizabeth (Galvin) Linden Sr. Frank was a lifelong Waterbury resident and was a graduate of Croft High School and attended Mattatuck Community College. Frank was the owner and operator of McGee Production Telemarketing working tirelessly to raise funds for many area organizations, especially local police unions and the Special Olympics. He served as former President and Vice President of The Waterbury Ancient Order of Hibernians, Monsignor Slocum Division and was a member of the Waterbury Elks Lodge #256, the 1900 Club and was also a former Owner of Howards Café. During his younger years, Frank was a music enthusiast. He was a talented singer, pianist, and banjo player who was proud of his Irish heritage and enjoyed playing and singing Irish music. He was a diehard New York Yankees fan and had the privilege of serving as Mickey Mantle's bodyguard while he was visiting CT for fundraising events.

Besides his wife, Christine of 15 years, Frank is survived by his sons, Francis J. Linden III, and his wife, Sarah of Torrington, Mark Linden, and his significant other, Maxine Echevarria of Waterbury, his daughter, Kathleen Linden of Bristol, his former wife, Carol Gasper of Thomaston, in addition to his seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mr. Linden will be held on Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at 10:00am from Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home 1987 East Main St @ Southmayd Rd. Waterbury to Saints Peter and Paul Church, 67 Southmayd Rd.to celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am. Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family in New St Joseph's Cemetery, Waterbury. Relatives and friends may visit with Frank's family at the funeral home on Tuesday December 22, from 4:00 ~ 7:00 pm.
