THE CASEY FAMILY IS HONORED TO BE CARING FOR AND ASSISTING THE FAMILY OF FRANCIS "FRANK" E. WARD.
WOLCOTT - Francis Edward Ward, age 81 of Wolcott passed away peacefully on Monday October 22, 2018 at the Vitas Innovative Care Unit of St. Mary's Hospital with his family by his side. He was predeceased by his beautiful wife of 54 years, Eunice Ward who passed away on October 21, 2017.
Mr. Ward was born in Waterbury on January 12, 1937, the son of the late William and Margaret Ward. Educated in local schools he proudly served his country in the US Army. Frank worked for many years as a Production Control Manager at Timex and Sherwood Medical before retiring and enjoying his remaining years with his family. He was a parishioner of St Pius X Church in Wolcott and will always be remembered as a loving and caring husband, brother and grandfather but most of all the best father 2 sons could ever ask for.
Frank is survived by his sons; James Ward of Wolcott and Frank Ward and his wife, Julia of Meriden, his brother, and best friend William of Naugatuck as well as his grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Margaret Marrello also of Naugatuck. The family would like to thank and acknowledge the staff at Vitas at St. Mary's as well as those of Aging Better at Home of Wolcott and the Wolcott Volunteer Ambulance Service for the love, support and comfort they shared with Frank and his family.
Funeral services for Mr. Ward will be held on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at 12 noon at All Saints Cemetery in Waterbury. Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home has been honored to assist the Ward family with arrangements.
