THE CASEY FAMILY IS HONORED TO BE CARING FOR AND ASSISTING THE FAMILY OF FRANCISCO "PANCHO" RIVERA SR.

"Beloved Father, Grandfather, and Great Grandfather"

WATERBURY - Francisco "Pancho" Rivera Sr, age 78, of Waterbury passed away unexpectedly at Saint Mary's Hospital on Wednesday January 12th 2022. He was the husband of Esther (Rodriguez) Rivera.

Pancho was born on March 3rd, 1943 in Jayuya Puerto Rico the son of the late Ramon and Maria Justina (Feliciano) Rivera. He moved to Connecticut in 1964 to provide a better life for his family and to raise his children. Pancho spent several years working as a equipment operator for Waterbury Foundries and then spent 22 years working for Mattatuck Scrap Metals before his retirement. Francisco was a "Hardcore" Boston Red sox fan and enjoyed playing dominos, fishing, and following wrestling. He was a long time parishioner of All Saints To do Los Santos Parish, There was nothing more important to Francisco than his family he was always happiest while spending time with them especially with his wife, children, and grandchildren.

Left to honor his legacy and cherish his memory besides his wife Esther of 57 years he leaves his sons Francisco Rivera Jr and his wife, Wanda of Waterbury, Alberto Rivera and his wife, Laurel of PA, Edwin Rivera and his wife, Kimberly of Waterbury Edwin J. River and his wife, Earlisha of Waterbury Miguel A. Rivera and his wife, Joanna of Fl and his daughter Marivel Synnott and her husband Bill of VA. He also leaves many brothers from Puerto Rico 2 sisters in PA and several from Waterbury in addition to his 22 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his brother Cecilio and his two granddaughters Jasleen, and Evalyce.

Funeral services for Mr. Rivera will be held on Thursday January 20, 2022 when a mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at To-dos los santos All Saints Parish Shrine of St Anne's church 515 S. main St Waterbury. Those planning to attend are asked to meet directly at the church. Burial will follow in Calvary cemetery Waterbury. Friends and relatives may visit Francisco's family on Wednesday evening from 5:00 - 7:00pm at Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 1987 East Main St @ Southmayd Rd, Waterbury, CT 06705.
