AT THE O'NEILL FUNERAL HOME,
Frank P. Commendatore, age 84, formerly of Colonial St Oakville, died Monday at Middlebury Convalescent Home after a brief illness.
Frank was born in Waterbury on July 12, 1924 the son of the late Filadelfio and Angela (Aresco) Commendatore. He was a lifelong resident of Oakville and was an electrician by trade, working at Chase Brass & Copper in Waterbury and then for local contractors. He was a veteran of the US Army and proudly served his country during World War II. He was an active member of the Watertown/Oakville Taxpayers Association and a parishioner of St. Mary Magdalen Church in Oakville.
Frank is survived by his brother Rosario Commendatore of Oakville and three nieces, Georgianne Boulanger , Marilyn Austin and Angela Cyr all of Waterbury.
Funeral Services for Mr. Commendatore will be held on Thursday, January 15, 2009 with a Mass of Christian Burial to be held at 9:00am at St. Mary Magdalen Church, Buckingham St Oakville. Burial will follow in Mt Olivet Cemetery. There are no calling hours. The O'Neill Funeral Home has been entrusted to assist the family with arrangements.
