AT THE CASEY-O'DONNELL FAMILY FUNERAL HOME. ?" Mr. Franklin F. " Jack" Rauch, age 82, of 180 Scott Rd., the Village at East Farms Waterbury, died Thursday at Waterbury Hospital after an extended illness. He was the husband of Lois (Schilling) Rauch. .
Franklin was born in Floral Park LI NY, the son of the late Jacob and Ida (Luger) Rauch. He was educated in the NY School System and enlisted in the US Navy from high school. He was a proud veteran, having proudly served his country as a Navy SeaBee during World War II. He was employed for many years as a Building Inspector for Consolidated Edison Co. New York City. He was an avid sportsman and enjoyed golf, baseball and ice hockey. He was a member of the VFW and his most enjoyable time was spent with his family, most especially his beloved grandchildren. .
Besides his loving wife Lois, Mr. Rauch leaves two children, his son, Paul J. Rauch of Arlington WA and his daughter, Susan McAulay and her husband J.D. of Southbury. He also leaves a sister, Mrs. Muriel Muller of Maryland and 6 grandchildren, John, Scott and Christine McAulay and Jennifer, Samuel and Mariah Rauch, as well as 3 great grandchildren. His brother, George Rauch is deceased. .
A Memorial Service for Mr. Rauch will be held at a later date at the Village of East Farms, 180 Scott Rd. Waterbury.
