WATERBURY - Fred Brown, age 85 of Southbury, formerly of Waterbury passed away peacefully with his family by his side at the Vitas Innovative Care Unit of St. Marys Hospital after a brief illness. He was the husband of Diana (Mobilio) Brown
Fred was born on March 28, 1932 in New York, NY, the son of Elizabeth (Brihim) Brown. Fred was a professional painting contractor and did work throughout the greater Waterbury area. In his early years, he was an outstanding baseball player and continued to love the sport as a faithful NY Yankee fan. He was an avid bowler throughout his life but most of all he was a loving, devoted husband and father.
Besides his loving wife Diana, Fred leaves his son, Frederick Brown and Rosa Perleche of New Britain and his daughter, Karen Brown of AZ. He also leaves a grandson, Donald Allard and a great granddaughter, Trinity Allard as well as his sister-in-law, Joan Mobilio-Evon.
Funeral services for Mr. Brown will be held on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 when a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception, 74 West Main St Waterbury at 9:30 a.m. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
