Oakville - Frederick J. Daddario, age 84 of Oakville, passed away on March 14th 2018 surrounded by the love and comfort of his family a Hartford Hospital after a brief illness. He was the widower of Marie(Frino) Daddario.
Fred was born September 8, 1933, the son of the late Frederick and Mary (Macora) Daddario. He was raised in New Britain area where he attended local schools and proudly served his country in the US Army during the Korean War Era. After being honorably discharged he received his Bachelors degree in Philosophy from the University of Connecticut. He spent many years working for the State of Connecticut as a social worker, primarily at Southbury Training school and the Department of Children & Families. Fred was an award-winning Oil Painter painting in the impressionist style as well as having enjoyed finish carpentry and woodworking. His paintings were enjoyed by many and reflected his belief that the meaning of life rested in the Good, the True and the Beautiful.
Among his survivors are his sons Frederick E. Daddario of New London, CT, Paul E. Daddario and his wife Janet of Oakville, in addition to his grandchildren William, Nathan and Ruby. He is predeceased by his Sisters Rosemary Daddario and Evelyn Cova, as well as several nieces and nephews and extended family.
Funeral Services for Mr. Daddario will be held privately and at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. The O'Neill Funeral Home, 742 Main Street, Oakville, CT 06779 has been entrusted to assist the family with the arrangements.
