WATERBURY CT - Frederick Daley, age 79 of Waterbury passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 15, 2017 at St. Marys Hospital, surrounded by the love and comfort of his family. He was the husband of Lori Ann (Hojnacki) Daley.
Fred was born February 10, 1938 in Waterbury the son of the late John and Adeline (Fenske) Daley. He was educated in local schools and was a lifelong Waterbury resident. He was a Printer for the Waterbury Republican American newspaper for many years prior to his retirement. He was an active member of the American Legion Post # 165 in Wolcott and a veteran of the US Army. Fred's family would like to thank and acknowledge the staff of St Mary's Xavier 3 for the love and care they shared with Fred during his illness.
Besides his wife, Lori Ann, he leaves his sisters-in-law; Margaret Vaccarelli and her husband, Frank and Cindy O. Hojnacki all of Waterbury. He also leaves his nieces; Heather Ann Vaccarelli, her son, Neil, his nephew, Brian Vaccarelli and his son, Logan King and niece, Amber M. Blisle, her husband, Bruce and their children, McKenzie and Theodore. Fred was predeceased by his Aunt, Margaret Fenske.
Funeral services for Mr. Daley will be held on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at 12:00 noon at Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home, 1987 East Main St Waterbury, CT. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Waterbury with military honors. Relatives and friends may visit with Freds family on Wednesday morning from 11:00 till the service at noon.
