WATERBURY- Gary S. Candido, age 66, of Waterbury passed away unexpectedly Friday, July 1, 2022 at his home.
Gary was born on April 9, 1956 to the late John F. and Marie J. (Migliaro) Candido Jr. He graduated from Sacred Heart High School, and then went on to receive a business degree from the University of Connecticut. Gary spent most of his working years, self-employed, where the major focus of his business was furniture and cabinet refinishing. When he wasn’t working, Gary loved to garden. He spent many hours in his massive backyard garden, nurturing every vegetable plant imaginable. Gary was an avid Yankees and UConn fan and rarely missed watching the games on television. He took great pride in the team’s paraphernalia that he collected throughout the years.
Left to honor his memory is his sister, Vicki J. Morehouse and her husband, Terry of Prospect, his nephew, Jason Morehouse and his wife, Marissa of Cheshire along with his great niece, Madison and great nephew Cooper. He also leaves his niece, April Candido of Waterbury, and his great nieces and nephews; Arianna, Marcelli, Jovani, Iris, and other extended family members. Gary was predeceased by his brother John, “Johnny” Candido III.
Funeral services and interment in Calvary Cemetery in Waterbury will be private at the convenience of his family.
