THE CASEY FAMILY IS HONORED TO BE ASSISTING AND CARING FOR THE FAMILY OF GARY TOMLINSON
WATERBURY - Gary Alan Tomlinson, age 59 of Waterbury passed unexpectedly at his home on Sunday December 15, 2019 after a long battle with diabetes.
Born November 22, 1960 in Waterbury.. Gary was the son of the late Melvin and Agnes (Wickson) Tomlinson.After graduating from Pomperaug Regional High School, Gary spent many years working alongside his father at the Southford Garage in Southbury as a mechanic, and more recently he had been working at the Reidville Drive Stop and Shop.
Gary was a friendly soul who enjoyed listening to the Beach Boys. He was a participant in the Southbury Eagles Drum Corps where he made many friends. He had a passion for animals, especially natural wildlife. Gary enjoyed playing chess and was an avid amateur ham radio operator.
Left to cherish his memories and honor Gary's love and legacy are his sisters Gail Macari and her life partner Jerry Cayer of Cranston, RI,. and Geri Wilson of Woodbury. He also leaves his nieces Bonnie Calhoun, Darcey Mensel, Kelly Kennedy, and Megan Macari; his nephew Michael Macari, and his grandnephew Anthony Macari, in addition to several cousins and other extended family members.
A memorial gathering for Mr. Tomlinson will be held on Saturday December 21, 2019 at Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home 1987 East Main St @ Southmayd Rd Waterbury CT 06705. From 12:00 noon until 2:00pm Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
