ROSWELL, NM - George A. Marsh, age 88 formerly of Waterbury, passed away peacefully on July 27, 2020 at his home in Roswell, New Mexico. He was the husband of the late Barbara (Lombardo) Marsh.
George was born March 7th 1932 in Morris, CT, the son of the late Sherman L. and Mildred (Hanke) Marsh. George grew up in the Brooklyn section of Waterbury and was the owner and operator of Mr. Marsh Hairstylist Inc. for many years until his retirement. George enjoyed fishing, dancing, playing bingo, taking trips to the casino and traveling Caribbean on cruise ships. He will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know and love him.
Left to cherish his memory and honor his love and legacy, are his daughter, Wendy Marsh Alexander of Roswell, NM, his grandchildren; Kate Johnson Conti of Hamden, Brian Marsh Johnson of West Haven, his great grandchildren, Bria Michelle and Ella Lynn Johnson. He was predeceased by his granddaughter, Michele Lynn Lemoine.
Funeral services for Mr. Marsh will be held on Monday, August 24th, 2020 11:00 a.m at Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home 1987 East Main St @Southmayd Rd. Waterbury CT 06705. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Waterbury. Relatives and friends may visit with George's family on Monday morning from 10:00 until the service at 11:00 a.m.. All applicable rules regarding COVID#19 will be strictly enforced.
