THE CASEY FAMILY IS HONORED TO BE CARING FOR AND ASSISTING THE FAMILY OF GEORGE NOLAN III
WATERBURY - George Thomas Nolan III, age 85 of Waterbury, passed away from complications related to the COVID virus at St. Mary's Hospital on Saturday October 2, 2021 He was the widower of the late Madeline (Perreault) Nolan.
George was born on August 13, 1936 in Waterbury the son of the late George T. Nolan Jr and Olive Hamilton Nolan. He graduated from Sacred Heart High School in 1955 and proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He followed in his father's footsteps, working as a printing pressman until he retired. He loved to fish, golf, garden, cheer for the Red Sox and UCONN Womens' basketball team, and spend time with his family.
Left to honor his legacy and cherish his memory are his daughters; Katherine Riess and her husband Michael, Judith Valerio and her husband Richard, Susan Budziszewski and her husband Gregory; his brothers; Patrick Nolan and his former wife Judi Nolan and James Nolan and his wife MaryAnn, and his grandchildren; Grania Maire Riess-Kenney and her husband Justin, Natalie Riess and her partner Sara Goetter, Athena Valerio, Elizabeth Valerio, Seth Budziszewski, Joseph Budziszewski, and Collin Budziszewski. He also leaves behind many extended family members and friends who share our grief.
Due to COVID concerns, private funeral services for Mr. Nolan will be held at the convenience of the family, with a celebration of life to follow at a later time when the pandemic has passed. Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Services has been honored to assist the Nolan family during this difficult time.
