THE CASEY FAMILY IS HONORED TO BE ASSISTING AND CARING FOR THE FAMILY OF GEORGE F. SIMPSON
GEORGE F. SIMPSON, age 86, passed away unexpectedly surrounded by the love and comfort of his family at St. Mary's Hospital. He was the husband of the late Marguerite (Iris) Simpson.
George was born in Waterbury, CT on September 22, 1934, the son of the late George F. Simpson and Adeline (Huff) Simpson. He worked for most of his career at Loehman Blasius Chevrolet and then retired from Earnie's Auto Body. He loved riding in his convertible with his wife prior to her passing to Bantam Lake. He was a devoted father, Grandfather and Great Grandfather.
He leaves behind his three children, Chera Simpson of Waterbury, Steven Simpson of Waterbury and Janet Shaw of Oakville, his Grandchildren, Michael Shaw of Wolcott and Christopher Shaw and his wife Kristen of Georgia, and the greatest love of his life his Great Granddaughter, Shailyn Shaw, who brought him so much joy as well as his sister, Donna Carpentier. He was predeceased by his brothers, Frank, Donald, Richard and Roger and his sisters, Elinor, Louise and Barbara. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.
He wished to be cremated and is in the loving care of Casey's Eastside Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held in the Spring at his beloved Bantam Lake. The date will be announced at that time.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to Waterbury Police Athletic League, 64 Division St., Waterbury, CT 06704.
