WATERBURY - Geraldine F. Reardon, age 90, of Waterbury, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 8, 2020 at her home, surrounded by the love and comfort of her family, after an extended illness. She was the widow of and love of her life John F. Reardon .

Geraldine was born October 16th 1929 in Waterbury, CT the daughter of the late Rocco and Angeline (Cipriano) Basilico. She was a graduate of Crosby High School and attended Bryant College in RI. Gerrie was an avid reader and was a dedicated caregiver for her entire family. Gerrie was a very kind and gentle soul; she had a loving and generous heart and was always giving and providing for others, over her own needs. Gerrie will be sadly missed by all who were blessed to know and love her.

Gerrie's family would like to thank and acknowledge the staff and physicians at Waterbury Hospital, Emergency Room and Pomeroy 5, the Masonic Care at home staff and Doctor Drew Edwards for the 30 plus years of excellent and compassionate care, The Companions and Homemakers staff, especially Savitree "Savo" Karpen for 8 years of round the clock, compassion, friendship, dedication and excellent care.

Left to cherish her memories and honor Geraldine's love and legacy, are her son, Gary J. Reardon, with whom she made her home in addition to several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her two sisters, Gloria Campbell and Marian Moriarty.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Reardon will be held on Monday, January 13, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. from Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home 1987 East Main St @ Southmayd Rd Waterbury CT 06705 to Mary Mother of the Church Parish, Saints Peter and Paul Church to celebrate a Mass of Christina Burial at 11:00 a.m, Burial will follow in New Calvary Cemetery Waterbury. Relatives and friends may visit with Geraldine's family on Monday morning from 9:30a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
