Mr. Gerard A. Pelletier Sr.

January 18, 1945 — April 30, 2023

Loving Husband Father and Grandfather

THOMASTON - Gerard A Pelletier, Sr. of Thomaston, passed away peacefully at home with his loving wife by his side on April 30, 2023. He was the husband of Marie Claire (Regan) Pelletier.

Gerard (Jerry) was born on January 18, 1945, in Waterbury, CT, the son of the late Charles and Ida (Fournier) Pelletier. Jerry married Marie Claire (Regan) Pelletier on August 20, 1963. Jerry and Marie Claire shared a lifetime of memories and love while enjoying many hobbies together.

Jerry worked as an electrician and retired from Winchester Electronics in Watertown. He worked previously as an electrician for Waterbury Rolling Mills. Jerry was passionate about America and embodied the spirit of a true patriot. He rode Harleys, cruised in Chevy Corvettes, loved country music, and treasured all things Disney. But his heartbeat was always for his family. Summers were spent camping and boating with his children and grandchildren. Christmases were filled with laughter and reruns of Alan Jackson’s Christmas on repeat. Memories were deeply important to him. Always with a camera in hand, he created a legacy of family photographs that spanned over 60 years.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Marie Claire; daughter, Marie (Claire) Ficeto and her husband Joseph of Wolcott; his son, Gerard A. Pelletier Jr. of Wolcott; granddaughters, Christa Bosse, Carah Bosco, and Abigail Pelletier; grandsons, Daniel Bosco and Charlie Pelletier; along with four great-grandchildren, Angelo Bosco, Ezra Bosse, Piper Lou Bosse, and Isabella Rowley. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Louise Pelletier and several nieces and nephews, along with his beloved cousin, Joyce Hamel, and family. He is predeceased by his brothers, Charlie and Raymond Pelletier.
Mere words are but a feeble attempt to express our family’s gratitude for the care and love that the Harold Leever Cancer Center and St. Mary’s hospital Infusion Center provided to Jerry and his family during this difficult time.

We bid a loving farewell to Jerry Pelletier, the husband, father, grampy, papa, and friend he was. He will be sadly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
