Terryville -Mr. Gerson Girotti age 35, of Allen Street Terryville, died peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving friends and family on Monday February 6th 2012 after a long but valiant battle with cancer. He was the loving friend and companion of Tiziana Covacci for many years.
Gerson was born January 28th 1977 in Mexico City, Mexico, the son of Carlos S. and Rosa M. Girotti of Danbury. Prior to his illness he worked in site services department at Boehringer Ingelheim in Danbury. He was an avid Nascar fan, as well as, baseball, basketball, and football. He participated in several area sports leagues including pool, darts, and bowling.
Besides his parents, Gerson is also survived by his stepdaughter, Celeste Covacci of Terryville, his brother Carlos Girotti of Torrington, his sister Aneidy Girotti of Torrington as well as many cousins. He will always be remembered as a genuine big hearted and most importantly loving, Son, Brother, Companion, StepFather, and Friend to many.
A Memorial Gathering for Mr. Girotti will be held on Saturday, February 11th 2012 from 10:00a.m. till 12:00 pm at the Casey-O'Donnell Family Funeral Home Family Funeral Home 1581 East Main ST Waterbury. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
