WATERBURY- Gilberto Montero, age 50 of Waterbury, CT passed away unexpectedly on Friday, December 29, 2023.
Gilberto Montero was born August 5, 1973 in Waterbury, CT the son of Milagros Diaz and the late Feliciano Soto. Gilberto was affectionately called “Tito” by his friends and family and had a passion for music, dancing, and cars. During the holidays at family gatherings, he had a love for listening to throwback music, latin freestyle and dancing with his sisters. He enjoyed indulging in traditional Spanish food, always expressing gratitude and appreciation. Gilberto will always be remembered as a jokester/prankster as his laugh was contagious. He will be dearly missed by those who were blessed to have known and loved him.
Left to honor Tito’s love and legacy is his mother, Milagros and his sisters Zulma (Cledson), Migdalia, and Mildred. He is survived by his children Giovanni, Nicole, Fantasia, and a host of grandchildren. He also departs with a host of aunts, nieces, and nephews who he loved and cherished deeply. He is predeceased by his father, Feliciano Soto.
Funeral services for Gilberto will be held on Thursday January 11, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. at Casey’s Eastside Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Care, 1987 East Main St Waterbury CT 06705. Burial to follow at Pine Grove Cemetery, Waterbury.
