Gladys Gonzalez ?" age 50 of Sylvan ave Waterbury died peacefully at Waterbury Hospital with her family by her side on July 25th 2008 after a extended illness.
Mrs. Gonzalez was born August 27th 1957 in Puerto Rico the daughter of Andres Gonzalez of Puerto Rico and the late Guadalupe Cedeno.
She grew up in Puerto Rico and moved to Connecticut in 1981 where she made her home. She worked as a home health aide for many years at Extra Hand Inc of prospect where she cared for many elderly and handicap families in the Waterbury area. She will be remembered as always being a happy, and loving, individual who enjoyed dancing, cooking, and most importantly spending time with her friends and family.
Besides her father she is survived by her son Jorge Luis Gonzalez, of Manchester; two daughters Rosaura Cruz, and her husband Jesus Gonzalez, of East Hartford; and Vanessa Sepulveda, of East Hartford; thirteen brothers and sisters, 2 grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews, as well as her companion of ten years Juan Suarez and his three children and grandchildren of Waterbury.
A memorial services for Mrs. Gonzalez will be held Tuesday July 29th at 7:00 p.m. at the Casey-O'Donnell Family Funeral Home 1581 East Main St Waterbury. A memorial gathering will be held from 6:00 pm. until the time of the service.
