BURLINGTON - Glenda M. Balukas, age 57, of Burlington, passed away peacefully Thursday, November 26, 2015 at the Vitas Innovative Care Unit of St. Mary's Hospital surrounded by the love and comfort of her family after an extended illness. She was the devoted wife of Joseph Balukas.
Glenda was born September 7th 1958 in Fort Kent Maine, the daughter of Conrad and Lucienne (Berube) Martin. Glenda grew up in the Bristol area and spent many years working at Lowe's Home Improvement of Plainville where she held various position most recently as a Receiving Clerk. She enjoyed taking vacations in Ocean City, Maryland photography, reading she also enjoyed going to concerts and the casino with her husband.
Besides her husband, Joseph of 29 years, Glenda is survived by her daughters, Amber Balukas and her fiancé, Nate Voreis of Netcong, NJ and Casey Balukas of Burlington. She also leaves her sisters; Darlene Martin and Cheryl Martin of Goshen and Janet Morgan of Barkhamsted, in addition to her nephews, Devin and Delaney Morgan. She is predeceased by her sister Wendy Martin Holden.
Funeral services for Mrs. Balukas will be held at day and time to be announced.
