WATERBURY- Grave R. Christiano age 94 of Waterbury passed away peacefully at the Village Green of Waterbury on Thursday July 16, 2015 after an extended illness. She was the widow of Alfred Christiano.
Grace was born November 8th 1920 in Avellino Benevento, Italy the daughter of the late Michael and Carmella (Devito) Buglione. She came to America settling in Bridgeport with her family and then moved to Waterbury as a young girl. She worked at Five Store in Planstville and also Metal Fabrications in Waterbury until her retirement. Grace enjoyed taking walks in the neighborhood, bowling at Perillo's and attending the Waterbury Senior Center with Lucy and her friends. She was the happiest when she was surrounded by her family, especially her great grandchildren who referred to her as Nonnie. She was a parishioner of Saints Peter and Paul Church.
Among her survivors are her daughter Joyce Ethier and her husband Thomas of Waterbury, a sister in law Lucy Christiano who she was very close to, three grandchildren Jennifer Rohwedder and her husband Scott of Southbury, Thomas Ethier and his wife Melanie of Terryville, and Steven Ethier and his wife Sarah of Thomaston. Her seven great grandchildren Megan, Mariah, Justin, Kaylie, Zachary, Carter and Jackson. She was predeceased by her brothers Tony and Andrew Buglione and sister Amelia Buglione.

Funeral services for Mrs. Christiano will be held on Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at 8:45am from Eastside Memorial, " A Casey Family Funeral Home & Tribute Center" 1987 East Main St @ Southmayd Rd Waterbury, CT 06705 to Saints Peter and Paul Church when a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:00am Burial services will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Friends and family may visit with Grace's family on Tuesday morning from 7:30am until 8:45am at the funeral home.
