WATERBURY CT. Mrs. Grace (Miller) Dibble, age 86 of Madison Ave. Waterbury died Thursday at St. Mary's Hospital after a brief illness. She was the widow of Harold R. Dibble, who passed away in February of 2000.
Grace was born on June 20, 1923 in Waterbury, the daughter of the late John and Frances (Brown) Miller. She was a graduate of St Francis Xavier Grammar School and Waterbury Catholic High School. She worked for a time as a payroll clerk at Uniroyal in Naugatuck where her husband also worked before leaving to raise her family. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Grace was a longtime parishioner of St. Francis Xavier Church and was a member of the Ladies Guild there.
Mrs. Dibble leaves four sons, Gary Dibble MD and his wife Patricia of Upland CA, Alan and his wife Doris of New Port Ritchie FL, John of Melbourne FL and Mark and his wife Elaine of Waterbury. Mrs. Dibble also leaves her sister, Mrs. June Sutton of Waterbury and six loving grandchildren, Gretchen, Jennifer, Kyle, Lauren, Stephanie and Kristina..
Funeral Services for Mrs. Dibble will be held on Tuesday, April 13, 2010 at 8:45AM from the Casey-O'Donnell Family Funeral Home 1581 East Main St. Waterbury to St. Francis Xavier Church, 625 Baldwin St. Waterbury for a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30AM. Burial will follow in MT Olivet Cemetery, Watertown. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Monday evening from 5-7PM. Memorial donations in Mrs. Dibble's memory may be made to St. Francis Xavier School, Development Fund, 605 Baldwin St. Waterbury CT 06706.
