Waterbury - Grace "Gracie" F. Drew, age 54 of Draher St Waterbury, passed away peacefully at Waterbury Hospital on Sunday October 28, 2012, surrounded by her family, after an extended illness.
Grace was born March 19th 1958 the daughter of the late Michael Druan and Esther (Brickett) Overton. She grew up in the Brooklyn section of Waterbury where she attended local schools and worked as a bartender for many years at the former Amici's Restaurant. Gracie loved to be surrounded by her family and friends. She had an infectious personality that everyone loved.
Among her survivors are her two sons, Derrick Drew of Naugatuck and Mason Laccone of Waterbury, her daughters, Leah and Katie Laccone both of Waterbury, her brother Michael Druan of R.I. her sister Cathy Bagoly of Winsted, her step-father Russell Overton of Waterbury, two grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and many close friends. She is predeceased by her daughter, Carrie Anne Drew, and her brother, Patrick Druan.
A Memorial Service for Mrs. Drew will be held on Friday, November 9th 2012 at 1:00pm at the Casey-O'Donnell Family Funeral Home 1581 E. Main St Waterbury. followed by a interment of her remains in New Pine Grove Cemetery. Friend and family may visit at the funeral home on Friday morning from 10:00a.m. until the time of the service.
