WATERBURY - Grace Irene (DelRusso) Klobedanz age 88, of Waterbury, left us on December 17, 2021 to enter the gates of heaven after a brief illness at Waterbury Hospital. She was the widow of James K. Klobedanz,.who passed in 1985.
Grace was born on December 29, 1932, the daughter of the late Irene (Priola) Pannone and Sam Del Russo, Sr. She was a lifelong resident of Waterbury and graduated from SS Peter and Paul grammar school and Waterbury Catholic High School in 1950, where she was most fortunate and excited to attend her 65th High School Reunion in 2015. Grace devoted the major part of her life raising and nurturing her three children at home. After they were grown, she worked at East End Pharmacy and Chieffo Insurance Agency in Waterbury. She was a regular parishioner of St. Leo the Great Church, until she left her lifelong home on Norris Street in 2019, to reside at the Village at East Farms Assisted Living on Scott Road. She was an avid member of the Prospect Senior Center and loved to travel on senior trips, go ballroom dancing, attend country craft shows, and play bingo. Grace was a strong, yet humble and kind woman to all that knew her throughout her life. She always looked forward to spending holidays with her family. May her beautiful spirit rest in peace.
