At O'NEILL FUNERAL HOME
Oakville - Gregory Charles Dalton, age 65, of Hillcrest Ave. Oakville, died peacefully Sunday, September 25th at Waterbury Hospital with his loving wife Susan, by his side.
Mr. Dalton was born September 11th 1946 in Waterbury, Connecticut, the son of the late Charles and Lucille (Paige) Dalton. He was a graduate of Naugatuck High School and then joined the US Navy were he proudly served his country during the Vietnam War. After being discharged from the Navy, he began working as an electrician for Traver Electric for several years before starting his own electrical company, G & S Electric. Greg enjoyed traveling, especially to Las Vegas or the local casinos and also loved to spend time in Rhode Island. He also enjoyed spending time with his friends and family and would often instigate a practical joke or prank. He was also an avid animal lover and owned several cats and dogs.
Besides his wife Susan (Michaud) Dalton of 31 years, Greg is survived by his brother in-laws, Peter A. Michaud of Georgia and David Michaud of Massachusetts and his sister-in-law, Carmel Moffo-Hackert of Thomaston as well as his nephews Peter J. and Brian D. Michaud.
Funeral services for Mr. Dalton will be held on Thursday, September 29th at 10:30 a.m.from the O'Neill Funeral Home 742 Main St Oakville to Saint Mary Magdalen Church, Buckingham St Oakville for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am. Burial will follow in Saint James Cemetery Naugatuck. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Wednesday, September 28th from 5:00 - 7:00pm.
