Waterbury - Hamad Ali Abou-Hadir age 85, of DiNatali Drive Waterbury, passed away unexpectedly at Saint Mary's Hospital on Friday, July 12, 2013 after a brief illness. He was the beloved husband of Donia Abou-Hadir.
Hamad was born December 25th 1927 in Lebanon, the son of the late Ali and Bader Abou-Hadir. He came to the United States in 1975 in search of a better home for his family and settled in Waterbury in 1994. He enjoyed drinking his Mate any time of the day, family gatherings, and working in his vegetable garden. He was always happiest surrounded by his friends and family during the holidays or while sharing a good meal.
Besides his wife Donia of 57 years, Hamad is survived by his three sons; Adam Hadir of Wolcott, Fady Hadir of Waterbury, and Sammy Hadir of Waterbury, his daughter, Jaziba Tajildeen of Waterbury, two brothers and a sister all of Lebanon as well as his six beautiful grandchildren and great grandchild.
Relatives and friends of Hamad may visit with Hamad's family on Monday evening July 15th 2013 at Eastside Memorial, A CASEY FAMILY FUNERAL HOME AND TRIBUTE CENTER, 1987 East Main St @ Southmayd Rd. Waterbury from 5:00 ~ 8:00p.m. Hamad will then be immediately repatriated to his homeland in Lebanon for funeral and burial services.
