THE CASEY FAMILY IS HONORED TO BE ASSISTING AND CARING FOR THE FAMILY OF HARRY RAYMOND

30 year member of the Nutmeg Square Dancing Club

WATERBURY -Harry A. Raymond., age 95 of Waterbury, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 19, 2020 at his home, surrounded by the love and comfort of his family after an extended illness. He was the husband of Eleanor L. (Taylor) Raymond.

Harry was born on November 14, 1924 in Holden, MA son of the late George and Esther (Malmberg) Raymond. Harry was raised in the Holden, MA area where he attended local schools and proudly served his country with the Merchant Marines during World War II. Harry spent many years working as an independent insurance agent and retirement planner. He enjoyed golfing and bowling but cherished the time spent with his wife traveling across the United States as well as a 24-day bus trip across Europe. Harry also loved to dance and he and his wife were 30-year members of the Nutmeg Square Dance Club where they enjoyed square dancing as well as round dancing and polka. Harry looked forward to his morning gatherings at the local Dunkin Donut shop with his friends but was always happiest while spending time with his family especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was also a long time member of the American Legion Post # 1.

Left to honor Harry's love and legacy besides his wife of 72 years, Eleanor are his daughters; Linda L. Briggs and her husband, Albert Sr. of Dinwiddie, VA, Vickie Santore and her husband, Frederick of Shelton, CT and Susan Minck and her husband, Paul of Stevensville, TX. Harry and Eleanor were blessed with 9 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his siblings, Kenneth, Paul, Richard, Lawrence, Peggy and Jeanie as well as his daughter. Debra Capoldo and her deceased husband Ronald.

Funeral services for Mr. Raymond will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2020 at 12:00 noon at Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 1987 East Main St. Waterbury, CT 06705. A "walk-through visitation" following all applicable state COVID #19 guidelines, will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the service at Noon. To honor Harry's memory, donations to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated. Memories endure only if you share them.
