WATERBURY - Hector L. Rodriguez, age 76, of Waterbury, passed away peacefully on April 11th 2020 at Saint Francis Hospital in Hartford. He was the beloved husband of Mercedes (Simmons) Rodriguez.
Hector was born October 7th 1943 in Ponce, Puerto Rico. The son of the late Jose Quinones and Rafaela Rodriguez. He retired from Cly-Del Mfg. after 31 years of service and was an active member of St. Cecilia's/All Saints Church. Hector enjoyed spending time with his family, gardening, playing dominoes and BINGO. He was a devoted Yankees fan and also enjoyed spending time working on his 1965 Chevy Impala.
Left to remember, cherish, and honor Hector's love and legacy besides his wife Mercedes of 52 Years are his sons Robert Rodriguez and his wife, Annette, Daniel Rodriguez and his wife Laura, his daughter Leeana Rodriguez, his 12 siblings,11 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, his stepmother Monserrate Suarez-Quinones, as well as several nieces ,nephews and in-laws. He is predeceased by his brother Rafael Santiago.
Hector's family will honor his life at a private graveside service when he will be laid to rest on Friday April 17th at 1:00pm at All Saints Cemetery Waterbury.
