AT THE O'NEILL FUNERAL HOME Helen " Dolly" (Mockler) Cote, age 98, formerly of Oakville, died Saturday, December 6, 2008 at Pleasant View Manor in Watertown. She was the widow of William Cote.
Helen was born May 9, 1910 in Grand Falls, New Brunswick, Canada, daughter of the late George and Phillamon (Michaud) Mockler and was educated in the Canadian School System. She was a devoted housewife and mother and worked for a time as a nurses aide at the CT Children Hospital on Watertown Ave in Waterbury. While living in Oakville she was a parishioner of St. Mary Magdalen Church and a member of the Catholic Women's Organization there. Most recently she was a parishioner of St. John the Evangelist Church in Watertown
Helen is survived by two sons, Delmer G. Cote of Bethlehem and James W. Cote of Commerce Township, Michigan as well as a daughter, Mrs. Shirley C. Aitchison of Watertown. She also leaves 13 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren
Funeral services for Mrs. Cote will be held on Tuesday, December 9, 2008 at 8:00am from the O'Neill Funeral Home 742 Main St. Oakville to St. John the Evangelist Church, Main St. Watertown for a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00am. Burial will follow in MT Olivet Cemetery in Watertown. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Monday evening from 5-7pm.
