Helen B. Loomis, age 95, of Waterbury, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, January 19th, 2025, at Waterbury Hospital after a brief illness. She was the widow of John J. Loomis
Helen was born August 28th, 1929 in Waterbury, the daughter of the late Anthony and Beatrice Bares. She was a graduate of Crosby High School and spent many years working as a secretary for various companies throughout Waterbury, including Lux Time, and retired from Fan Steel VR Wesson. Helen enjoyed cooking and taking vacations in the Caribbean. She was a former parishioner of St Aloysius Church in Southington. Helen had an affection for cats and loved her fur baby, Samantha. She will be sadly missed by all those who were blessed to know and love her. May her memory be a blessing to all.
Left to honor her legacy and cherish her memory are her son, Mark Loomis of Plainville, and her cousins Herbert and Jeff Brum, and Gregory Bares. The Loomis family would like to thank all the guardian angel neighbors who took the time to care for and watch over Helen over the past several years, including Vinny and Binny and their family, Arlene and Karen, and Carol and Jack Sangetta and family and Mohammed.
Funeral services for Mrs. Loomis will be held privately at the convenience of her family. Casey’s Eastside Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Care, 1987 East Main St Waterbury, has been honored to care for Helen and the Loomis family.
