Enjoyed sitting around the bonfire with family and friends
PLYMOUTH - Helen M. Weis, age 53, of Plymouth, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by the love and comfort of her family, after a courageous battle with cancer on Thursday July 29th 2021. She was the beloved wife of Alan Weis.
Helen was born May 25th 1968 in Waterbury, CT, the daughter of the late Gerard and Joan (Giaerlla) LeVasseur. Helen was raised in the Waterbury area and was a graduate of Wilby High School. She spent many years working as a secondary operator at Waterbury Screw Machine. Helen had a passion for music and enjoyed attending many concerts. She was an avid reader and also liked to spend time at the beach. One of her favorite things to do was gather with her family and friends around a bonfire enjoying one another's stories and time together. She will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know and love her and we are most thankful to have had her in the many lives she touched.
Left to honor her legacy and cherish her memory, besides her husband Alan of 23 years, are her son, Nicholas Alan Weiss of Plymouth, her brother, Richard Levasseur of Thomaston, her sisters; Laura Levasseur Rossi of Thomaston and Christine Trombini of Salem, Wisconsin. She also leaves many nieces, nephews, and other extended family members and many friends.
A Memorial Gathering for Mrs. Weis will be held Tuesday, August 3rd, 2021 from 5:00 to 7:00pm at Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 1987 East Main St @ Southmayd Rd Waterbury CT. Burial will be held privately at the convenience of her family.
