Mr. Heriberto Santiago Quinones

WATERBURY – It is with profound sadness that the family of Heriberto Santiago Quinones, age 66, share the news of his peaceful passing at home on Friday, February 7th, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Maritza Quinones to whom he’s been married for 46 years.

Heriberto was born on May 21, 1958, in Yauco, Puerto Rico to Elizardo Santiago and Anatilde Quniones. He was a graduate of local schools and went on to work in home improvement. Heriberto met his wife Maritza in Puerto Rico and started a family together. They settled into Connecticut with their five kids in 1985. He brightened up a room as soon as walked in. His love of music especially classic Puerto Rican salsas or old school R&B wuch as Barry White and Tina Turner. He would love to joe and play pratical joke with his family and friends. He was always the life of the party and had the greatest ear for advice. He had a few punch lines in which are very memorable and still used to this day such as; “Rapido”, “Rapido” and “Soy Una Maravilla”.

Left to honor his legacy and cherish his memories besides his wife Martiza are his five children; Jose Santiago, Deri Santiago, Heri Santiago, Charitza Santiago, and Chamariz Santiago. He leaves his eleven grandchildren, two great grand children and one on the way, a brother, and five sisters, along with extended family and friends.

Relatives and friends may visit with Heriberto’s family on Friday, February 21, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Casey’s Eastside Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Care, 1987 East Main Street, Waterbury, CT 06705. Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
