WATERBURY - Horace E. Green, age 89, of Ridge St. in Waterbury, died Wednesday at Waterbury Hospital after a brief illness.
Mr. Green was born September 17, 1918 in Southbury CT the son of the late Lyman and Rose (Jackson) Green. He was educated in the Southbury and worked for a short time at American Brass in Waterbury but spent the majority of his career as an employee of J.J. Megin Construction Co. in Naugatuck. He was a distinguished member of Local #390 and was also very active in the Laborers International Union of North America for 35 years.
He leaves two nieces one residing in New Milford and one in Florida. Mr. Green was predeceased by two brothers Howard L. and Homer Green and a sister Mrs. Helen Green of Florida.
Funeral services for Mr. Green will be held on Monday February 3, 2008 at 7:00PM at the O'Neill Funeral Home, 742 Main Street Oakville CT. Burial will be in Woodbury Cemetery in the spring. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Monday evening from 6pm until the service at 7:00pm.
