AT THE CASEY-O'DONNELL FAMILY FUNERAL HOME
Waterbury, CT. Hugo Langin, age 86, of Mansfield Ave Waterbury, died Sunday at St. Mary's Hospital surrounded by his family after a brief illness. He was the widower of Frances (Oles) Langin.
Hugo was born October 29, 1925 in Brooklyn NY the son of the late Dino Langin and Concetta (Perla) Langin. He was educated in NY schools and enlisted in the US Marine Corp where he proudly served his country during both World War II and the Korean Conflict. He was employed as a Quality Assurance Manager at Timex, Burndy Corporation and Electro-Tech in Cheshire. Family was important to Hugo and he was an avid model train enthusiast and enjoyed building miniature houses. He was also a member of the VFW Post 1776 in Oakville.
Hugo is survived by his three daughters; Concetta Barfield and her husband Richard of Riverview FL, Elaine Argenta and her husband Edward of Oakville and Regina Langin-Mastro and her husband Domenic of Naugatuck. His son William Olson and his wife Sally of Waterbury, as well as 10 grandchildren, Robert, Laurie, Ryan, Eric, Michael, Edward, Katherine, Dino, Alyssa and Jason. He was predeceased by his son, Terrence Langin, his daughter Dorita Markiewicz and his brother Nestor Langin.
Funeral services for Mr. Langin will be held on Monday, February 13, 2012 at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Grace Church, Rt 202, Bantam CT. Those planning on attending are asked to go directly to the church. Burial with full military honors will follow in Our Lady of Grace Cemetery.
