WATERBURY - Ignacio "Iggy" Soto age 47 of Waterbury, CT passed away unexpectedly at Saint Mary's Hospital on Saturday September 21, 2013.
Iggy was born January 2nd 1966 in Queens, NY. He was the son of Santiago Soto and the late Norma Serrano. He graduated from Bryant High School, Queens, NY. Iggy worked as a Customer Operations Manager for Pitney Bowes and most recently Ricoh. Iggy was known for being an avid NY Mets and NY Giants fan. He will be remembered as being the "Life of the party" with his glowing smile and laughter and was considered a "father-figure" to many. He adored his family, enjoyed sharing good times and living life to the fullest. He will always be known as a loving husband, passionate father, devoted grandfather, dear brother and loyal friend.
He will forever be remembered by his beautiful wife Denise Soto (Moreno) of 24 years and his sons Justin and Michael Soto, his treasured grandson, Liang Soto, his siblings Santiago Soto Jr. and his wife Maribeth Soto and three children, Samuel Soto and his wife Nereida Soto and son, his sister Georgina Ruggiero (Soto) and husband Anthony Ruggiero and two children, and his sister Rosemary Soto. He is also survived by his mother and father in-law, grandmother, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Iggy will be forever loved, missed and remembered by his family and countless friends that were blessed to have known him.
Funeral services for Iggy Soto will be held on Wednesday, September 25th 2013 at 9:00am from Eastside Memorial, "A CASEY FAMILY FUNERAL HOME AND TRIBUTE CENTER", 1987 East Main St @ Southmayd Road to Sacred Heart Sagrado Corazon Church 13 Wolcott St. Waterbury to celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am. Rites of committal will follow in New Pine Grove Cemetery. Relatives and friends may visit with Iggy's family on Tuesday evening from 5:00 ~ 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
