WATERBURY- Mrs. Inez L. (Clary) Hofler, age 90 of Waterbury, passed away on Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at Waterbury Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved widow of Elton M. Hofler.
Mrs. Hofler was born January 29, 1932 in Washington D.C. daughter of the late Richard Longs and Jane Clary. Mrs. Hofler was a long time Waterbury resident and a member and mother of Community Tabernacle Outreach Center of Waterbury, CT. Mrs. Hofler was a retired employee of the U.S. Rubber Co. located in Naugatuck, CT. She enjoyed fishing, sewing, going to hospitals and convalescent homes praying for the sick. Mrs. Hofler also enjoyed spending quality time with her family.
Left to honor her legacy and cherish her memory are her two sons; Ronald Hofler of Atlanta, Georgia, and Anthony Hofler of Waterbury, daughters; Debra (Hofler) Trotman and Ametrues Hofler of Waterbury, two Daughter in laws; Quintina Hofler and Catherine Clemons. 21 grandchildren, 52 great grand children and 7 great great grandchildren. She also leaves her sisters in law; Beatrice Clary and Margert Hofler both of New Haven, and Edna Clary of Washington D.C. along with a host of nieces, nephews and extended family members. Mrs. Hofler was predeceased by her children; Nicole Hofler, Robin Hofler, Linda Hofler, James Hofler, granddaughter; Shawn Parks and her four brothers; Jim Clary, Dick Clary, Chris Clary and Melvin Clary.
A “Going Home Service” will be held on Wednesday, July 27, 2022 from 12:00 p.m until 2:00 p.m. at Casey’s Eastside Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Care 1987 East Main St @ Southmayd Rd Waterbury. Repass will be held, following the services at 24 Grandview Avenue, Waterbury, CT 06708.
