OAKVILLE - Isabella (Maclina) Vitkauskas age 91 of Oakville and New Smyrna Beach FL, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 7, 2018 at St. Marys Hospital. She was the widow of Bronis Vitkauskas.

Isabella was born on February 7, 1927 in Bethlehem CT, the daughter of the late Frank and Elizabeth (Miklinevicas) Maclina. She was educated in local schools graduated from Wilby High School and moved to Florida with her husband where they were the owners and operators of the Resort Motel in Edgewater for many years. Isabella loved bingo and was a nature lover and was an endearing lover of animals, helping to birth, raise and place animals of all types. What was most important to Isabella was her family and she would devote all of her spare time to be with them. She was a parishioner of St. Michaels in Waterbury, Sacred Heart in New Smyrna Beach FL and St. Mary Magdalen in Oakville. She will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know and love her..

Isabella is survived by her six children; daughters; Mary Vitkauskas of Oakville with whom she made her home, Catherine Diehl and her husband, Michael of Edgewater FL, Anna Logue and her husband, Edward of Prospect, Betty Vitkausakas of New Smyrna Beach FL and sons; Allen Vitkauskas and his wife, Maryann of Edgewater FL and John Vitkauskas and his longtime companion, Amy Kogut of Port Orange FL. She also leaves a brother, Francis Maclina of Waterbury and 12 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. Isabella was predeceased by her brother, Thomas Maclina and her sister, Helen Novacinski.

Funeral services for Mrs Vitkauskas will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. from the O'Neill Funeral Home 742 Main St Oakville to St. Mary Magdalen Church, Buckingham St Oakville to celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Waterbury. Relatives and friends may visit with Isabella's family on Friday evening from 5:00 till 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
